From 1976 to today, the off-road self-loading concrete mixer born in Noventa di Piave has taken on the toughest job sites around the world. Fifty years on, that story gets a new campaign.
Picture an extreme challenge. Impossible terrain. Conditions pushed to the limit. Only one machine can take it on: Carmix, the original off-road self-loading concrete mixer, born in Italy in 1976. For half a century, wherever ready-mix concrete can’t reach, Carmix does — remote job sites, critical infrastructure, extreme climates, terrain no other machine could handle.
It all started in Noventa di Piave, near Venice, when Rino Liborio Galante founded Metalgalante. Ever since, the company has remained a family-run business — an “Italian family factory” — that grew into a global reference point in its field while staying true to a simple idea: quality concrete, produced fast and economically, wherever people build.
Fifty years of innovation have shaped the way concrete gets made on site: in 1980 Carmix introduced the world’s first 270°-rotating drum, in 2002 the first electronic load-cell weighing system arrived, in 2019 the MyCarmix app brought smartphone control to the machine, and 2023 saw the launch of the Carmix 45EVO. Today Carmix machines operate in more than 165 countries, from the busiest urban job sites to the most remote corners of the planet, carrying the same standard of Italian reliability wherever it’s needed.
To mark this anniversary, Carmix is launching The Italian Jobsite: a campaign that puts the Italian tricolore center stage, turning it into a road stretching out ahead of the Carmix machines as they head into their next challenge. It’s a direct tribute to the Italian spirit of ingenuity, courage and the ability to take on the impossible — the same spirit that has guided Carmix for fifty years.
Carmix: 50 years of great challenges. The next one has already begun.
